FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH has enrolled in the Kroger Rewards Program. This program will send the church a check for a percentage of your purchases from Kroger. In these tough economic times we need to make every dollar we spend count! To participate you can enroll online now by registering at krogercommunityrewards.com. We have been assigned the NPO # 80849. If you have any questions please call the church office at 592-8656. Teri or Janice will be happy to help you.

THE FACILITIES RESOURCE TEAM is planning their annual parking lot sale for Sat., Sept. 4th.  Now is the time to clean out your attic, basement, closets, etc. Please bring your priced items to the church now.  Your unwanted items could be just what someone else needs. We will once agian be having a baked goods table. Your homemade cakes, pies, cookies, etc. will be greatly appreciated.  All proceeds will be used to maintain our church home.

STEWARDSHIP/FINANCE TEAM would like to have a fall fund raiser to help with the church finances. If you have any suggestions or ideas please notify the church office, Pastor Mike, Cathy Wallace or any member of the team.

THE CHANCEL CHOIR will resume practices on Wed., Sept. 1st at 7:30 P.M.  When the book of Acts (see 16:25-26) reports that Paul and Silas sang in the Philippian jail at midnight, it doesn’t record whether they were basses or tenors. It doesn’t even report if they sang on key. It simply says they sang. And as they sang, there was an earthquake and the prison doors were opened.  Many of life’s doors open more easily when we sing. So why not open some doors by joining the choir? Our first Sunday to sing is planned for Sept.12th.
